The Bay Area’s taste of Georgia
Bevri opened in 2018 as the Bay Area’s first Georgian restaurant — bringing the cheese breads, dumplings, and wines of a country most guests had never tasted before to downtown Palo Alto.
The name means “a lot” in Georgian, and it shows up in the portions, the wine list, and the way a table fills up with small plates meant for sharing. It’s food built around the Georgian supra: a long table, a lot of dishes, and no rush to leave it.
Hand-woven textiles and a working wood-fired oven set the tone the moment you walk in. Behind the bar, a wine wall stocked with Georgian qvevri wines — fermented in clay vessels the way it’s been done for eight thousand years — anchors a drinks program you won’t find anywhere else nearby.
