Both the salads (tomato one and eggplant one) were amazing and the pork ribs were a stand out. The vegetable stew was also a favorite. The rolls that accompanied the ribs were a group favorite and quickly consumed.

 

The serviced drinks, dessert (shout out to the wine soaked pear dessert) and ambiance were all phenomenal.

 

I highly recommend getting out of your comfort zone and trying Georgian food here, it won’t disappoint. It was loved by the whole group who was nervous and skeptical."

I ordered the beef kebab, khinkali, and a traditional Georgian closed pie. The presentation was beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious — everything was prepared in the best Georgian traditions.

What stood out the most were the cocktails made by the bartender, Nursultan. Special thanks to him — he’s a true professional and such a friendly, pleasant person. I highly recommend trying one of his cocktails!

They went out of their way to accommodate all her needs and to make her day special. We all liked their Georgian food and wine. Our favorites were the khachapuri adjaruli, kebap and the trout. The whole family was pleased with the atmosphere, the food the service and the location of this restaurant.

One think my mom will never forget is as we were ready to leave, a nice lady (Olga) approached her with a present and wished her a long and happy life.

This restaurant is defying all the rules--and I'm here for it. You have a restaurant situated in a prime location, serving delicious, extremely reasonably priced food and wine, with a friendly, efficient staff who don't expect tips. How?!? The owners need to write a book and sell it to the rest of America.

 

I really enjoyed their red and white ""sweet"" wines by the glass. They weren't actually dessert-level, but more semi-sweet, which worked well with the dishes. If you're into Rieslings and red sangrias, they will hit the spot.

 

The cheese boat (3.5/5), while tasty at first, became very one-note and heavy after. I think it would have suited my personal taste if it had a little more salt. But who am I to judge this cuisine; take my feedback with a grain of salt ;)

 

Now the Pork Mtsvadi were out of this world. Beautifully marinated porky goodness with a ton of flavor. So good... The accompanying potatoes were nicely roasted, and that red sauce--fire-roasted peppers and tomatoes?!?--was slurp worthy. 

 

We also had a pear dessert that wasn't overly sweet and hit the spot without any sugar crash afterwards.

 

When the bill arrived, and I paid by card, I got a receipt without the option to tip--just a spot for your signature. I felt guilty about leaving without a tip, so we left some money on the table anyway. Because, even in Europe, you still tip for great hospitality (check out the menu for reference)."

The food is tasty and delicious. We started with the Pkhali; the spinach and beet spread with walnuts was perfect with the eggplant rolls. The Khachapuri Adjaruli was a highlight--the bread boat was crispy, light, and fluffy, and mixing the egg and cheese is so satisfying. Next, we had the Khinkali (Georgian soup dumplings). The meat was seasoned perfectly.

 

For mains, the Baje Shrimp had a lightly sweet marinade with a nice tart/sour sauce that paired well with the bread. The Georgian Salad was fresh and crisp. The Beef Ribs with Tashmijab were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the sauce was incredible.

The menu is full of hits. The Khachapuri Adjaruli is an experience in itself; the bread is crispy yet fluffy, and mixing the cheese and egg is so satisfying. The Khinkali dumplings were juicy and well-seasoned. I also loved the Baje Shrimp—the sauce was a great balance of sweet and tart. If you like meat, the Beef Ribs with Tashmijab are fall-off-the-bone tender with an amazing sauce.

 

We washed it down with Tarkhun (a herbal tarragon soda) and finished with the gooey Lava cake for dessert. We left with full stomachs and boxes of leftovers. Can't wait to go back!"

We’ve become totally addicted to khinkali and khachapuri — they’re just finger-licking good! We’ve been to several Georgian restaurants in the Bay Area and in Miami, and so far, Bevri is the best. A nice bonus is that you can earn and use reward points there, and unlike other restaurants, it doesn’t have mandatory tips.
