Bevri: Authentic Dining in the Heart of Palo Alto

Bevri is a Georgian restaurant in Palo Alto, California, serving authentic dishes from Georgia (the country).

The name "Bevri" means "a lot" in Georgian, reflecting its generous portions and festive spirit. It's especially known for classics like khachapuri (cheese-filled bread, baked in a wood-burning oven) and khinkali (juicy soup dumplings), plus grilled meats and a great selection of Georgian wines.
To provide equitable compensation for our entire team and a stress-free experience for you, Bevri operates as a tip-free restaurant.

The food was incredible and our server, Eric, was so accommodating and personable. My friend has allergies and I also have food restrictions and Eric took special care to make sure everything was safe for us to consume. The atmosphere was relaxed and elegant. Highly recommend!!

This restaurant is defying all the rules--and I'm here for it. You have a restaurant situated in a prime location, serving delicious, extremely reasonably priced food and wine, with a friendly, efficient staff who don't expect tips. How?!? The owners need to write a book and sell it to the rest of America.

I really enjoyed their red and white "sweet" wines by the glass. They weren't actually dessert-level, but more semi-sweet, which worked well with the dishes. If you're into Rieslings and red sangrias, they will hit the spot.

The cheese boat (3.5/5), while tasty at first, became very one-note and heavy after. I think it would have suited my personal taste if it had a little more salt. But who am I to judge this cuisine; take my feedback with a grain of salt ;)

Now the Pork Mtsvadi were out of this world. Beautifully marinated porky goodness with a ton of flavor. So good... The accompanying potatoes were nicely roasted, and that red sauce--fire-roasted peppers and tomatoes?!?--was slurp worthy.

We also had a pear dessert that wasn't overly sweet and hit the spot without any sugar crash afterwards.

When the bill arrived, and I paid by card, I got a receipt without the option to tip--just a spot for your signature. I felt guilty about leaving without a tip, so we left some money on the table anyway. Because, even in Europe, you still tip for great hospitality (check out the menu for reference).

Amazing atmospheric Georgian restaurant! Entrance features a futuristic touchless menu display, loved the experience! Inside, a lot of small Georgian cultural features - from traditional dolls to wall carpets, candles and more. Staff is super friendly and helpful! We were as a family with our 4y old kid - they gave him a little souvenir of a khinkali [georgian dumplings] key ring. Food is so delicious. Khinkali and khachapuri are MUST TRY if you never tried Georgian cuisine. Thank you, Bevri, for unforgettable evening, food, service and atmosphere!
